SARDI’s Food Innovation and Value Chain team is a research and development group which works with a range of businesses and agencies, particularly staff in Primary Industries and Resources SA (PIRSA)’s Agriculture, Food, Wine and Forestry team and South Australia’s food industry association, Food SA to achieve growth in the South Australian finished foods industry.
Located in the Plant Research Centre on the Waite Campus in Urrbrae, the Food Innovation and Value Chain group includes Scientists, Engineers and Food Technologists who are able to assist industry and food businesses in identifying issues and finding solutions in the areas of new product development, process improvement, packaging, trouble shooting and technical issues.
The Food Innovation and Value Chain Program provide industry-aligned work experience for students from a variety of universities both within Australia and overseas.
