If your food company needs new people with new skills, then the Graduate Access Program could help fill the gap.
GAP is a unique program which could assist your company access the skills and expertise of a current university or TAFE graduate.
The graduates are targeted and matched to food companies, providing the opportunity to add technical, marketing or commercial expertise at an affordable cost.

GAP also helps introduce graduates to the South Australian food industry, increasing awareness of it as a career of choice.
The pilot GAP was a great success with Marketing and Food Technology graduates from the University of SA and University of Adelaide placed in the program, with some employed on-going in the food industry.
GAP is a partnership program between Food SA, SARDI and PIRSA.
If your food company has a skills gap you can apply for a graduate through an expression of interest.
Graduates are targeted by advertisement through the Universities and TAFE SA as well as SARDI, AIFST, marketing associations and PIRSA.
Final graduate selection is your company's responsibility.
Successful graduates will be employed by your company and supported in the program for six months.

Companies who take on a GAP placement need to:
Individual salary negotiations and mentoring costs are to be agreed between the company, graduate and mentor.
GAP is expected to cover approximately one third of the cost to the business.
During GAP or at its completion, the company and graduate can negotiate further employment.
