Above: Professor Rob LewisAffiliate Professor Rob Lewis, who was the Executive Director of SARDI from 1992 to 2010, has been awarded the Public Service Medal for outstanding public service in the area of primary industries research and development at the Australia Day Awards last week.
While at SARDI, Professor Lewis committed to enhancing partnerships at the Waite between the campus partners including the University of Adelaide, CSIRO, the Australian Wine Research Institute, PIRSA and SARDI.
His vision and enthusiasm helped to develop major initiatives for SA including the Marine Innovation South Australia initiative, the West Beach Aquatic Sciences Centre and the Lincoln Marine Science Centre.
