Research Projects

 

The National Trunk Disease Program was initiated by the Cooperative Research Centre for Viticulture (CRCV) (external link) in 1999 to investigate the management of trunk diseases of grapevines, including Eutypa, Esca and Petri disease. It was jointly funded by the CRCV and the Grape and Wine Research and Development Corporation (GWRDC) (external link).

 

 

 

The Eutypa dieback component of the National Trunk Disease Program is made up of four consecutive projects.

1. Managing grapevine trunk diseases that threaten sustainability of Australian viticulture

Nov 1999 - Sep 2003, involving SARDI, Department of Natural Resources and Environment, University of Adelaide, University of Melbourne and Monash University.
