Roles and experience:
Dr Sasi Nayar has a PhD in Marine Biology and Masters Degree in Fisheries Science. Dr Nayar has significant experience over 15 years in a wide range of areas relating to aquatic biology, especially phytoplankton ecology and physiology. He also has experience in handling ecological research projects in mangroves, coral reefs, estuarine reefs, seagrass meadows and coastal waters in the tropics and in temperate environments. He has published over 20 papers in reputed peer reviewed aquatic science journals, 16 of them on phytoplankton ecology. He has also won seven competitive research grants.
