Roles and experience:
Judy is a passionate entomologist with an extensive range of entomological skills and experience. Judy currently works primarily on the National Invertebrate Pest Initiative (NIPI) funded by the Grains Research and Development Corporation (GRDC). She coordinates SARDI communication and extension activities for the benefit of NIPI including the successful PestFacts newsletter for SA and western Victoria, which provides updates of invertebrate pests in broad acre crops throughout the growing season. Other NIPI activities include diagnostic services, development and delivery of training modules, insect identification workshops and presentations to the broad acre cropping industry. Judy also coordinated and co-authored the new Crop Insects Ute Guide for the Southern Region, funded by GRDC via Rural Solutions. In addition, she provides website content support for the entomology unit.
