Roles and expertise:
Bill joined SARDI in 1999 as a Technician. He was initially involved with Greg Baker on the Greenhouse Whitefly project before working on European Wasp with Glenys Wood and then on Citrus Snails with Angela Lush.
Bill's current position as a Research Officer involves surveillance work for prevention of incursions of Fire Ants into South Australia, Fire Ants are currently a serious urban pest in Queensland. This work also involves large amounts of taxonomic work and public relations.
Bill's previous work with the PIRSA Pest Eradication Unit has given him a solid background into quarantine issues affecting South Australia
