Roles and expertise:

The effect of agriculture and other land uses on water quality soil testing and soil fertility

Experience:

  • Carried out numerous field trials to evaluate and calibrate soil tests for grazed pastures.

  • Worked extensively in the dairy industry, and now in other industries to determine the impacts of primary production on water quality.

  • Extensive collaboration with SA state government and interstate research, development and regulatory agencies.

Current and recent projects:

  • CRC eWater: Mount Lofty Ranges WaterCAST Focus Catchment

  • CRC eWater: Ecological Management in the Mount Lofty Ranges

  • Centre for Natural Resource Management: Primary Production to Mitigate Water Quality Threats

  • Passive pesticide samplers in MLR monitoring sites

  • Water and nutrient cycling on a Lower Lakes dairy farm

  • South-east borehole monitoring and assessment - expansion of diffuse impacts project

  • Passive pesticide samplers for water runoff

  • Expansion of eWater project field work
