Final report to GWRDC, August 2002. (PDF 2.5 MB)
The main aims of this proposal were (1) to confirm the pathogenicity of Phomopsis type 1 and if buds are being killed, to determine when infection occurs to enable effective application of fungicides and (2) to confirm the extent of type 2 infection in McLaren Vale and to identify clonal lines of this fungus infecting nursery samples supplied through GWRDC project UWS 98/1. The overall outcome is to provide the knowledge necessary for the development of a strategic approach for controlling Phomopsis of grapevine.
