Salinity management projects: developing strategies for minimum yield loss from irrigation induced salinity, including:

  • assessing salinity risk of Lower Murray horticulture
  • developing survival strategies at times of high river salinities
  • developing strategies for healthy root zones.

Deep drainage projects: assessing deep drainage from horticultural districts, including:

  • developing a model of drainage production from irrigated horticulture
  • testing a device for soil solution monitoring.

Diffuse impacts project: working on minimising the impact of agricultural systems on water quality.
